RES Exam Format
With effect from 2023, CEA has just published on 13 Jan 2023 that the new format of both Paper 1 and Paper 2 is as follows:
Section A : 60 MCQs (60 marks)
Section B : 20 MCQs with reference to 1 or 2 Case Studies (40 marks)
​The Real Estate Salesperson (RES) Examination consists of two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2. The duration of each paper is 2½ hours. To align with CEA syllabus, we will be revising our question bank to MCQ and case studies only.
What changed?
Section C: 10 Fill in the blank short answer questions has been removed
So... How does knowing the exam format help?
Knowing the format ahead of time allows you to focus in what is important. Thus, allowing you to create a plan that would get you the result you desire.

Knowing that short answer questions has been removed, it is important to practise and familiarise yourself with what you are going to be tested, which is MCQs.
